Welcome to the Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service Triathlon Club
Here you will find everything you need to know about what goes on within the section and how to get involved in the races and social events that are organised throughout the year.
We are one of the largest Fire Service Triathlon sections in the country and take part in a wide variety of multi-sport races locally, nationally and even internationally! Our membership continues to grow as the popularity of Triathlon as a sport boomed following the London 2012 Olympics. We range from complete novices who are just getting into the sport to athletes that have competed at the Ironman World Championships in Hawaii. We are all a very friendly bunch and on hand to offer advice to any newcomers to the sport and to help make sense of the plethora of information that you may have seen on the internet. So whether you have been training and competing on your own for years or are just starting out and want to give it a go please get in touch.
If you wish to join the Triathlon section, you must be a paid up member of the GMFRS Sports and Welfare Association which currently costs 50p a month and is taken directly from your wage.
