The 10k Marple Trail Race 2020
This year event will be held on Saturday, 5th September 2020.
The Race is organised to support to the Firefighters Charity . This is the UK's leading provider of services that enhance quality of life for serving and retired fire fighters, fire personnel and their families.
The entry price for online entry this year is £18 and £21 per entering on the day. Don't forget that you will get a trophy if you win, a medal for finishing plus a pint and a sandwich. It is all inclusive.
About the race
You don't have to be a great runner to participate we have runners of all levels.
The run starts at Rose Hill, at the beginning of the Middlewood Way. (See the map of the race)
Runners usually start gathering from 9.30am and you will need to register before 10.30am.
The approximate start time is 11am.
The course takes the competitors down the Middlewood Way, just past High Lane, then a gentle climb up onto the Macclesfield Canal and back to Marple. As the route is along a public trail and Canal Towpath, please be observant of members of the public and other users. Marshalls will be along the route to direct you and if any assistance is required. The finish line will be at Marple Social and Forces Club on Lime Kiln Lane, where participants can stop for a well-earned complimentary pint and sandwich.
Every runner who completes the race will be given a participation medal.
The Trophies will be handed to
- First Male and Female runner
- Male and Female veteran winner in category 50+
You can either park on Arkwright Road, Marple which is near the finish or at Rose Hill Train Station which is at the start of the race.

The entry registration process is organised by the Crazy Legs Events which will manage online payments and timing. The Crazy Legs Events will publish results on their website. Their Privacy Notice can be found on their website.
Pictures taken during the event will be published on our website in a form of picture gallery. The gallery is free of charge and accessible to public until the next year event.
